"Robert Johnson's song "Terraplane Blues" inspired this painting.  He died in 1938 aged only 27 and relatively unknown, but leaving behind 29 songs (some referenced in the art) that influence Blues and Rock music to this day.  He is now of legendary status ("the most important blues singer that ever lived" - Eric Clapton.)"
