 Artist Notes:
"Rick Mears won the 1979 Indy 500 in the Penske PC-6. Starting from pole, he led the race three times for a total of 25 laps. He crossed the finish line ahead of runner-up A.J. Foyt to claim his first Indy 500 victory. Rick dominated Indy Car racing from the late 70s to the early 90s, winning a total of 29 Indy car races and 40 pole positions. At Indy, Rick started from pole six times and won in 1979, 1984, 1988 and 1991. Rick won three Cart Indy World Series Championships and was named 'Driver of the Decade' by the Associated Press."
