Artist Notes:
"There is nothing more American than a red Corvette convertible. As I was sketching out the idea for this painting, the song “The Yellow Rose of Texas” shot into my head. Moving forward with the idea of a red car and a girl in a yellow dress I found the car at a diner and chose one of my best models, Kelly. Then I decided I wanted an authentic Texas billboard in the painting so the search began on the Internet. After a few days and hundreds of billboards there it was: "Watch your CURVES! Eat more Beef" -- complete with a bulging-eyed cowboy! My painting has the perfect sign, the perfect girl and the perfect car."
