"You could be forgiven for thinking that all Italian cars are red. This magnificent example of 1950s Maserati craftsmanship is resplendant in the distinctive white livery and central blue stripe of Carroll Shelby. Gleaming in the sunshine in the Donington Park Paddock, with its distinctive control tower in the background, the 300SI is taking a well earned break before being called into serious action. Built in the 1970s, the pits have weathered into the circuit landscape over the years and provide a distinctive backdrop to classic and historic racing machinery. Stand in the paddock and with both pit roller doors up you can see directly through to view all the thrills of the pit lane action."
