Stokes features two American classics in this scene from the fifties: a 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk and a 1957 Chrysler 300C.
The finely restored Mission San Carlos Borroméo de Carmelo forms the backdrop. Founded in 1770 by Padrea Junipero Serra, it is situated a few miles south of the city of Carmel, and is considered by many to be the most beautiful of all California missions.
