Delage at Amelia Island
Shown for the first time at the October 1938 Salon de Paris, this Delage D8-120 was immediately declared “the queen of international Concours d’Elegance.” Sixty-one years later, it remains one of the most striking examples of Art Deco automotive design, a unique design by the legendary French coach firm, De Villars. As bold as the design is now, it is believed the original owner actually had the fender fins reduced in size. Original painting is acrylic on canvas.
