Artist Notes:
"
Parnelli Jones won the 1963 Indy 500 in his Watson roadster. Starting from pole, he dominated the race, leading for 167 laps and crossed the finish line ahead of runner-up Jim Clark to claim victory. Parnelli had a spectacular Indy 500 career, starting seven races, leading 492 laps and achieving two pole positions. He was the first driver to qualify at over 150 mph, was the 1961 Rookie of the Year and, in 1990, was inducted to the International Motorsports Hall of Fame."
