This marquetry is composed of 486 separate inlays of various shapes and sizes, cut from 11 different precious woods, and varnished with a high gloss finish.
Artist Notes:
"This supercar is already a classic in the story of Mercedes. Hornbeam dyed grey was used for most of the car, contrasting with a background of tulip wood from Virginia, which gives an impression of speed. The tires are fossil oak and the brakes Ceylon satinwood. The wheel rims alone contain 120 inlays!"
