1967 Daytona 24 Hours

Daytona International Speedway at Daytona Beach in Florida, was the prime venue for long-distance road racing. Two works-entered 330 P4s, driven by Bandini/Amon and Parkes/Scarfiotti crossed the line in company with the Rodriguez/Guichet 412P to finish in a thrilling 1-2-3 formation. This inspired the press to adopt the name of the famous Florida track for Ferrari's newly-announced Berlinetta, the 365 GTB/4 — known ever since as the Daytona. Chief architect of Ferrari's success was team manager Franco Lini.
