1966 Monza 1000 Kms
Entered by SpA Ferrari SEFAC, the winning #14 Surtees/Parkes 330 P3 is shown overtaking the #38 Attwod/Piper Dino 206 S during the long distance race at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. This epicenter of Italian motor racing was built in 1922 near Milan; allegedly completed in 110 days. A notably fast-banked circuit, redesigned in the 1950s, and distinguishable by the parabolic Curve Sud. Grand Prix practice days at Monza were traditionally enlivened by the appearance of Enzo Ferrari in the pit lane, who said: "I've seen motor racing history pass before me from a front row seat."
