Artist Notes:
"Even before the 1959 Cadillac was introduced, we realized we had 'overcooked' the tailfins. In fact, at one point in the development of the '59 (model), the fins were higher than the coupe roof! For the 1960 facelift, we conducted 'major surgery' on the fins. This rendering, showing the lowered fins, was the basis for the 1960 Eldorado (production model)."
